Passenger Transport Officer

We have an opportunity for a Passenger Transport Officer to join the team. This role will be responsible for providing day to day support within the operational side of the Council public transport services.

You will be assisting with a wide range of tasks, which will include handling inbound/outbound calls, processing of applications and invoices, and providing daily support of the Total Mobility Scheme and new integrated bus ticketing system. Your activities will involve interacting with other local and central government officers and transport operators.

Our transport team is a busy environment and you will need to be versatile, resourceful and have exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.

To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the following:

  • Accuracy and meticulous attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a successful team
  • Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Word and Excel
  • Data management skills
  • Customer service skills and the ability to relate to a broad customer base
